Adam Cullen (1965-2012) was an Aussie artist that had a unique and provocative style. His bold brushwork and dark subject matter made waves in the contemporary art scene. He painted distorted figures, animals and symbols, reflecting intense emotions. Cullen fearlessly explored violence and sexuality stirring up controversy. He won the prestigious Archibald Prize in 2000 for his portrait of David Wenham. Sadly, he passed away in 2012, but his impact on the art world lives on
